Instant-Flex 194 is a pressure sensitive adhesive and its proven combination of very aggressive molten tack, clean trimming and excellent adhesion ensures trouble-free production on even the most difficult of publication. 

Instant-Flex 194 builds up cohesive strength very rapidly after application thereby allowing heavy covers to held up at the nipping station. High levels of specific adhesion also permit use of a wide variety of difficult cover stocks. And if the bond has not formed in the nip, this pressure sensitive adhesive will form the bond when the books are stacked on a pallet.

The high cohesive strength and specific adhesion of Instant-Flex 194 means that the product can be used at significantly lower coating weights compared with conventional side gluing adhesives. Optimum performance in terms of adhesion and trimming are achieved by running the product at low coating weights.

At recommended application temperatures and coating weights, Instant-Flex 194 exhibits clean machining characteristics on both wheel and jet systems.

Instant-Flex 194 is supplied in Easy-Melt packaging. This tack-free packaging is easy to handle and reduces waste packaging. Instant-Flex 194 performs well through wheel in pot and jet side glue applicators. It is supplied in 0.5kgs EASYMELT blocks, so it is advisable to use the product through a side glue premelter.
