Many adhesive-related problems occur because the adhesive is not being used correctly. For instance, if a hot melt bond isn't setting quick enough, it could be due one of many reasons. It could be due to the temperature of the hot melt being too high in the premelter, or it could be because too much adhesive is being applied. Eitherway the effect is the same; the hot melt cannot cool quick enough to build up strength to hold the bond together before it leaves the compression.
